Dermapen – what does the treatment involve?

Dermapen is a modern form of microneedle mesotherapy that effectively stimulates the skin's natural regenerative processes. The Dermapen treatment involves controlled, precise puncturing of the skin using a device equipped with several thin, pulsating needles. What does the treatment involve? The micro-injuries caused by the treatment activate collagen and elastin production, which leads to smoother skin, reduced wrinkles and scars, and improved firmness.

What is Dermapen used for?

The main goal of the treatment is to regenerate the skin, improve its structure, smooth its surface, and reduce aesthetic defects. The Dermapen microneedle mesotherapy treatment is effective in treating:

How does the procedure work?

Dermapen is a modern and precise method of micro-needling the skin, performed using the Dermapen 4.0 device or other advanced models, such as Dr Pen Ultima A6. This aesthetic medicine treatment is performed in a clinic by a qualified and experienced cosmetologist.

Course of treatment

  • Consultation – A specialist assesses the skin and qualifies the patient for the procedure, selecting the appropriate puncture depth depending on the patient's skin needs.
  • Skin preparation - The skin is cleansed and disinfected.
  • Anesthesia - An anesthetic cream is applied to the skin to reduce discomfort during the injections.
  • Microneedling – The Dermapen device, equipped with a cartridge containing pulsating needles, performs a series of controlled punctures across the entire treatment area. The punctures can reach deeper layers of the dermis, depending on the indications.
  • Application of active ingredients - During or immediately after the treatment, active ingredients (e.g., hyaluronic acid) are applied, which, thanks to micro-punctures, penetrate more easily into the deeper layers of the skin.
  • Skin regeneration - The reddened skin after the treatment begins to heal, activating natural regenerative processes.

Recovery after the procedure

  • The skin may be red and slightly swollen for 1–3 days after the procedure.
  • Visible results appear after just a few weeks.
  • For the full effect, it is recommended to undergo a series of treatments (usually 3–6 sessions).
  • After the procedure, you should strictly follow the post-treatment recommendations, avoid sun exposure, and use high SPF sunscreen.
